As I mentioned before, I took last Friday off to spend a day with Tara while she was on vacation that week. We packed as much fun stuff into this weekend as we could. There’s so much, I’ll mostly let the pictures do the talking, but basically it went like this:
Thursday night – went for a run at City Park and Tara came along
Friday – went kayaking, mowed the lawn and then did some swimming before our grocery shopping
Saturday – helped at Unleashed tent at Samurai Sprint Mud Run for 4 hours, then drove up to MA to pick up Julie and head into Boston for Sarah McLachlan concert. We had dinner before the show at Jerry Remy’s and then walked around a bit. I practically had to drag Julie away once we found the tour buses.
Boston Strong!
Sunday – 7 mile run and lots of meal prep, plus we finally finished Orange Is The New Black season 2
Wow, you’re right! What an epically awesome weekend!
What a gorgeous spot to kayak! (And run!) Sounds like an awesome weekend! 🙂
Sounds like a great weekend! One of the ones that make it hard to go back to work!
It was SO hard to go back!
Looks like you had an amazing time! I just hope Sarah didn’t sing about sad dogs like in the commercials.
I looove kayaking. Only done it a couple times – most memorable was in Alaska with bald eagles flying over our heads. I’ve thought about buying one here, but there’s also a club that meets each week to paddle them. I don’t know why I like it so much!
No she didn’t, thank goodness. She did have a tent outside the venue for the IFAW though, but thankfully it didn’t make me want to run away and cry.
Kayaking is so fun! I only started last year but I love it. If we could afford it, we’d already have two plus a roof rack. LOL
Look like such a fun weekend! I love kayaking, and the weather was perfect for it this weekend!
Kayaking looks amazing! We don’t have too many great rental places around here but I would definitely like to try it out before the summer is over! I told my husband I wanted to try it and he immediately started pricing kayaks and I was like, “whoa, slow down, we’ve never even gone kayaking yet!”
We scored a couple of Groupons so it was much cheaper than normal. New kayaks cost waaaaay too much for us right now, but the rental places have occasional sales to get rid of old rentals so we keep our eyes on those.
